Mission Accomplished!

I made myself stay up and finish these cabinets! Although I started off ahead, I left myself with extra cabinets in the end. Which goes with my habit of scrambling at the last minute. Love the crunch time....no more! I WILL say that I love that you can open any cabinet and find it organized and find things easily! Everything has it's place!
Moving on to drawers. I counted 42, will double check myself! I am going to have these done in 5 days!
I am also starting my 8 pounds, 28 days plan! That will be a seperate blog to hold me accountable for my daily choices when it comes to food and excercise!
As if I have listeners.....stay tuned!!!!

Ideas for keeping stuffed animals organized??

By the way....Does anyone have any cute/fun ideas on how to display/store stuffed animals?? McKenzie has a bunch of build-a-bears and other stuffed animals, don't forget the Serta sheep collection ; ) that I need to keep more organized. I am not a fan of stuffed animals as it it, but when they are all over the floor I REALLY don't like them!! Thanks for any ideas! If anyone is out there....

Lazy Day!

I am so tired! Rainy day, had a great time with kids, now trying to plan a party! My pillow is calling. I am on day 6 now, one day to go. Day 5 was productive. Today....not so much. But I am more organized than I was before I started this and WILL be done with all the cabinets tomorrow. Not everything will be labeled and perfect, but it will be organized! Next blog will start soon!!!!

Day 3, Day 4

So, I missed my post for day 3. I did however do the work. 34 cabinets down, 15 to go!! I am still ahead of the game! It's great how a little better organization can make things go more smoothly ; ).
This whole thing got started because I was trying to find something
possibly "borrowed" and I wanted to make sure that it definitely wasn't here before I asked about it. I started cleaning out one cabinet and doing a little rearranging. Then, I saw Julie and Julia. This got my wheels turning and I thought, as boring as this might be to a reader, it would make a not so fun task a little more fun and knowing I need to post my progress makes me stick with it.
Starting Monday I will have a blog in addition to my "home organizing mission". Since I am getting my house in shape, I decided I will blog about getting myself back into shape as well! A wonderful marriage of almost 9 years and 2 children later, I have found that I do not take the time for myself that I used to. Busier schedules lead to skipping excercise and not eating as I know I should. We all know what to do to get in shape and stay in shape. Starting Monday my new mission will be, 28 days, 8 pounds. Will keep you posted on this one & what my plan is to achieve that goal!
Be back tomorrow with my organization progress!

Day 2

I am so technically challenged, I thoght I already created a post, yet it didn't post. I am totally ahead of the game! I have completed 8 more cabinets, I think. I have placed a sticky note on all completed cabinets....yes I will reuse them and recycle! Other than those that Michael has created his art on! It is really amazing how putting this out there and keeping myself accountable has snowballed into an amazing thing! I feel so confident in the fact that O am accomplishing tasks and getting organized....just wait for my next 28 day blog!!!

Day 1

So I got a late start. Still managed to cover 2 already organized cabinets, 4 easy cabinets and 4 not so easy cabinets. The 2 organized had been started and were probably the start of this mission to organize. I was attempting to look for something in my dvd cabinet which led to totally re-organizing the whole house. The 4easy cabinets were the china cabinets.
Seriously, I still wonder why we registered for china. We never use it. I think I have used it 2 times since we have been married...almost 9 years! To those planning a wedding....choose wisely. Ask for things you need or will really use on a daily basis with your family.
The 4 not so easy cabinets were my bath cabinets. How and why do we accumulate so much stuff? Scott is like, "your makeup drawer/cabinet should only be Beauty Society, so throw out everything else". Why do I always think, well I might use/need that down the road. If you haven't used it in 6 months....recycle it. He is right, why do I need to keep the rest? Gotta go re-do those cabinets.

7 days, 49 cabinets

O.K. I am cracking myself up. Me, a blogger? What I figure is that if I start doing this it will make me stick to my schedule and hold myself accountable to finish the tasks I blog about.

Starting off light, with 7 days, 49 cabinets. As I piddled around all day and just made the decision to start this silly blog, I better get busy. I will definately be starting with the easiest 7 cabinets! Doing a makeover with my daughter is getting to sound better every second, electric blue eyeshadow and all.
